Doesn't big bang theory account for the ratio of H to He atoms?

Yes and no.

The Bb expains the ratio of H to He.

Unfortunately for the bb, stars create He in the same ratio.

So, one has to look further.

Like deuterium and lithium ratios.

the bb cannot get them both correct at the same time. So it is wong.

Also, for the BB to be correct, something like 95 to 99% of the matter in the universe is in some dark form. I would be more impressed if the BB told me what this matter is rather than a ratio between H and He which can be explained by stars anyway.

P.S. welcome to the board.,

Would you mind quoting some sources?

the BB makes exceptionally good predictions as to the ratio of H/He.  Stars make He, yes, but not in substantial amounts.  Almost all the He present in todays universe was formed in the BB, not in stars.  Can you demonstrate that the BB can't accurately predict deuterium and lithium ratios?

The BB makes no claims about dark matter.  That comes from observational evidence, not theoretical models from the BB.  The BB makes no predictions about dark matter, either about what it is or about how much there is.
